Jeeps West has invited us to a Zuni Mt campout & run weekend. They hosted this event for several years ago and it was a very good event that everyone really enjoyed. These guys are great hosts! It is run out of the McGaffey Wildlife Center which is south of the old Ft Wingate on State Road 400 just east of Gallup. There are primative camp sites, pit toilets, a covered picnic area and a building with kitchen facilities.
Schedule of activities: Fri. arrival (socialize) dinner on their own (P.S. no campfires at the Wildlife Bldg.), Sat. morning breakfast (cooked by the Jeeps West Bunch), line-up, trail @ 9:00am. After the trail JW will cook the burgers & dogs with everyone filling in with their favorite side dishes. Raffle, & afterwards DJ for listening, dancing & socializiing. We have pre-run the trail & it should be fun, semi-challenging.
