Participant Responsibility Notice
New Mexico 4-Wheelers guests and members will be meeting for a group activity as indicated below. Drivers are responsible for the safe operation of their own vehicles and should evaluate obstacles based on their own comfort and experience level and vehicle capability.
This is a volunteer recreational activity. Participants are responsible for their own safety, vehicle operation, and compliance with land-use rules.
Come on a run in the Manzano Mountains. The run will in the southern end on the Manzanos. It will be an easy run suitable for stock vehicles but will take all day. We will meet at the Sandia Ranger Station in Tijeras and will leave promptly at 9:00am. We will have about a 40 mile road trip until we reach the trailhead west of the village of Manzano.
If you are coming from Los Lunas or Belen you may want to take the southern route and meet us at the community center in the village of Manzano. To do that take Hwy 47 south to Hwy 60. Turn east to Mountainaire. At the flashing light in Mountainaire turn left on Hwy 55. Drive to Manzano. Arrive by 10:00am. Be sure to allow enough time, it takes longer than you think. If you are coming this way indicate in the comments when you sign up for the ride so you won't be left.
Be prepared for hot and dry weather and bring water and lunch!
