Cedro Peak Night Run. Come enjoy an easy night run and watch the Sturgeon Moon rise. We will travel aproxximately 5 miles in to a nice open spot for viewing the moonrise. Check back as adjustments may be made as we get closer to the day of the run.

The Sturgeon Moon is named after the North American lake fish that's easier to catch during the full moon's bright light. Fishing tribes in North America called it the Sturgeon Moon because the fish were more plentiful during this month.

Trail Rating: I consider this a 3.5 rating. Narrow, rocky sections with moderate inclines and some shallow (12-15") steps. Sharp, narrow turns among trees can catch mirrors, racks, or even dent vehicles. Upper portion of the trail near Cedro Peak has very deep ruts and off-camber sections. Clay mud is very slick when wet. The extended forecast as of 7/31/2025 appears to be drying up, which is good.  I do expect some deep puddles and ruts which could be probelmatic for vehicles with lower ground clearance.  I reccomend a minimum of 33" tires for this run.
