Gordy's Hill Day Ride
This will be a MODERATE trail ride in Gordy's Hill area. Down near Socorro, NM, off of I-25. 1 1/2 hour drive from Albuquerque area.
Meet at 8:45 am, leave at 9 AM, Back to pavement by 4 pm.
Some optional Hard sections, with bypasses. 33 or larger inch tires recommended. Recovery points front and back.Have recovery straps handy. Lockers will be helpful. Scratches possible. We can spot drivers in sections.Canyons with rocks, Steep hill climbs.
We will meet and air down at Lemitar Truck Stop, then drive to Gordy's Hill area. Trailered rigs can park at the truck stop, parking in rear parking lot.
Dress for Winter weather. Bring water and snacks.
This ride will be canceled if highway conditions are snowy or icey that day. Too far to drive on Ice covered roads.
If highway conditions are bad, that day, I may change this ride to a West Mesa ride, closer to town. This would be an easy/moderate trail ride Alternate trip details will get posted here, if that happens. Watch this site, if weather conditions are iffy.
But if the weather cooperates, we will have a fun day in LOW Range.
