Participant Responsibility Notice
New Mexico 4-Wheelers guests and members will be meeting for a group activity as indicated below. Drivers are responsible for the safe operation of their own vehicles and should evaluate obstacles based on their own comfort and experience level and vehicle capability.
This is a volunteer recreational activity. Participants are responsible for their own safety, vehicle operation, and compliance with land-use rules.
West Mesa Wanderings after Some Coffee Ride
Meet up for Coffee at Plata Coffee 9:00 AM, for RIGS AND COFFEE..... Or show up there by 10 AM. Drivers Meeting at 10:15 AM , Leave at 10:30 AM
WE will drive to Cleveland High School, Rio Rancho. We probably cannot stay all together through town, SO, Meet on north side of High School. Once everyone gets there.....Air Down.
Alternate: Meet at Cleveland HS, 4800 Cleveland Heights Dr, Rio Rancho NM 87144, by 11 AM, Leave at 11 AM on the ride.
We will . Air down at dirt road leaving Cleveland HS area, and drive everywhere on the West Mesa. Hills, Arroyos, dirt roads. Some play areas, too.
Rain or shine. Dry or muddy, snow.
We will stop for a lunch break at some point, bring chairs and food, drinks.
FULL TANK OF GAS!!
GMRS, Channel 5, HAM radios, if needed, also.
Recovery points on your 4x4, front and back. Recovery equipment and winch may be needed. Pin Striping possible. Bring a chainsaw and limb loppers, just in case. Off road tires, All terrains or mud terrains, no street tires.
Low Range gear box, keep driver behind you in your rear view mirror.
Drive Rio Rancho, before it is covered in houses!! Great views of the Sandias. Did I mention... SAND!!!!!!!
Plan to drive around until dusk. Leave early if you want to and drive back home. If you get lost, drive toward the Sandia Mts, East of the area we will be exploring. You will get to pavement at some point. LOL!!!!!!
