After the NM4W Club Meeting, we traveled to the Sandia Ranger Station to air-down and hold a driver's meeting. At 7:30pm we headed south on Old NM-14 to Forest Road 462 for about 5 miles. After taking a few rest stops and photo breaks, we traveled on Forest Road-13 until reaching Cedro Peak. Unfortunately, due to heavy cloud cover, not many stars were visible. So, we headed to the Stair Steps area. Several Jeeps and a full-sized Raptor pick-up climbed the stairs as shown by the Gallery pictures. The Cedro Peak Night Run was very enjoyable for all attendees, with great trail-side conversations among 4X4 friends and excellent late-summer weather.
