West Mesa Ride 2023 . . January 22, 2023

14 4x4 's explored the West Mesa on a nice winter's day. In the morning, we explored close to town and found some hill climbs and a technical area, that tested all the rigs's suspensions and the driver's ability to read lines in this tricky section. One truck needed a slight backwards pull, to get unstuck. A second try, got him the exit gate.

In the afternoon,the group got into a series of small canyons that featured several twisty, tight arroyo canyons. We had lunch in this area. After lunch we drove north and found another cool canyon that had a rugged two track for the exit . We finished the day with a great view looking north toward the Jemez mountains, all covered in snow. Back to town after that.
