14 4x4's did this ride. Nice weather, great trails. Went to the mines, did an exploratory into a neat canyon. Had lunch at the mines. In the afternoon, went up Upper Amado. Difficult but everyone got through without incident. Finished the day doing the rugged two track road around the northeast side of Gordy's Hill area. Drove down the long wash to the Gordy's Hill staging area and aired up there. A good day for wheeling at Gordy's Hill area. Saw very few other folks all day.
WE have two nice videos to watch. The second one is about a year ago , near the same area we traveled. It shows a rescue of an injured Hummer.

Feeling tiny.
Spine of rock we followed for a ways.
Desert life.
We dropped into (and climbed out of) lots of canyons.
Waiting to turn around...
So we can try this way instead.
It worked out!
