Eight vehicles met in Socorro, New Mexico. Traveled down I-25 to CR 107. Aired down and did three out and back exploratory routes into the San Mateo mountains. The first was along FR 332A to the base of San Juan Peak/Skeleton Ridge trail head and a great view to the southeast. The second was up East Red Canyon/Cold Spring Canyon along FR 984 to Panther Flats. The final leg was up Wild Cat Run/ FR 378 to a meadow called “The Park”. Several of the group returned home via Magdalena where they had dinner at the Tumbleweeds Diner. Overall, a great day with no issues.
