This was scheduled as an easy 2 rating, leisurely country meandering Sunday type country road drive. Then we all decided to go into exploratory mode. We were going to head into Madrid and have a bite but most everyone brought their own eats. We headed towards Cerro Chato and found some trails to do further exploration on another day. So we decided to head north once we met up with NM14 and rolled into Cerillos. We ended up going on the Where's Waldo trail. BTW Waldo was just a sign on the railroad tracks. I assume there used to be a town there with the namesake. We pulled off he trail and parked under the bridge, had lunch and then moved on until we got to the I25 where we all split up and went home.
The weather was warm. The skies were blue. and there was a nice breeze blowing. All in all. It was a good day and good run.
Thanks to all who joined us and the surprise attendees were a welcome addition.
