Six of us (5 members, 1 guest) braved the heat to get dusty and a little muddy in the plains and hills west of Santa Fe. Starting early paid off, but the temps quickly soared to over 90º and we were lucky to find a few Piñons with enough room to provide a shady lunch spot. Great views of the Santa Fe River Canyon, some fun climbs to 360º views of all the surrounding mountains and even a peek over to the White Rock Canyon/Los Alamos area. Best of all, no thunderstorms. Special kudos to all participants for cleaning up bottles and cans along the way, doing our best to be good stewards.
